How do I backup my data files?

MotelMax backups your data files automatically prior to the close of each shift.  Or, you can backup your data anytime.  From the main menu, select: Utilities | Site Setup | Utilities | Backup Data Files.

Data files are backed up to a sub-folder called ..\save by default.  For example, if MotelMax is installed in the default installation folder (C:\Maxwin), the backup zip file is created in the folder: C:\Maxwin\Save.

You can choose to send a copy of this backup file to any other destination, including a removable hard drive.  Go to: Utilities | Site Setup | Preferences | Extras | Backup Folder to define an alternate backup location.  The alternate backup location must include a folder name, for example: F:\backup.
